Volunteer in New York at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Brooklyn Sunday, October 18th (8am to noon)

Making Strides Against Breast CanderThe October Volunteer event for My Own Two Hands NYC is SUNDAY October 18 from 8.00am to 12.00pm.  We will be the clipboard Brigade for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Brooklyn.  Come join us for a fun morning working to support a cause that affects millions of people.  This is a rain or shine event so please dress accordingly.

We will be meeting at 9th Ave Bandshell Area at Prospect Park in Brooklyn.  Feel free to bring as many friends as you can round up!

Volunteer at Durham, NC Rescue Mission – October 24th (11am to 2pm)

My Own Two Hands is ecstatic to announce a volunteer event being held in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area.

Durham Rescue Mission

Please come out and give a few hours of your time to contribute in a meaningful way to the community in which you live. The goal is to do one volunteer event a month. This will be the first volunteer event for the Triangle chapter of My Own Two Hands. I hope to see all of you there. Feel free to invite others to come out as well!

We will be meeting at Durham Rescue Mission at 10701 Glenwood Ave in Durham, NC at 11am.

Volunteer at Chicago Food Bank October 17th (9am to noon)

My Own Two Hands is volunteering at The Chicago Food Bank in October!

The Chicago Food Bank distributes more than 58 million pounds of food each year. We will be repackaging food, sorting out expired bread, cleaning soy beans or something else easy, fun and HELPFUL to the over 600 agencies and 1,000’s of families that benefit from their food. We’ll be INDOORS..wear closed-toe shoes.

Saturday, October 17th
9am-12pm (that’s not too early!)
